Gotta Love Hotels!
Once I'm used to the smells and the noises, I kinda like this hotel living stuff! My own bed! Ice bucket for a water dish! Walks in new spots with lots of new smells! Takeout leftovers every night! (Some takeout is definitely better than others! Wyoming needs better Chinese!)

GERONIMO!!!
A Day at Geronimo Farms!
Finally, a visit to Geronimo Farms! We've only been twice this summer, and well, summer's almost gone!
I had a chance to get acquainted with Pepper... She's no Small Fry, (gosh I miss Small Fry,) but Pepper's o.k. She kept me pretty busy with all of her puppy energy, and quite frankly, one day was enough to wear me out!
We hiked, swam, ate bugs, rolled in bear poop, chased each other, napped by the campfire and ate all of the crumbs the kiddos dropped. It was a fine day.
After Delilah was rescued, we watched Dances with Wolves under the stars... (would have preferred Dances with Poodles, but our follies didn't ask our opinion...) Quite honestly, I don't get the whole wolf thing. I mean what folly wants a friend who won't snuggle?
Telluride is great as big cities go, but the farm is the proverbial cat's meow... or should i say the "dog's woof"!?! However you put it, time at Geronimo Farms is the best! No leashes, no fences, no curbs, endless trails, snakes to hunt, and it's time away from "work", whatever that is...

In addition to time spent with Pepper, I kept company with the myriad of other dogs that wandered in and out, a couple border collies, a yellow lab, a couple of mutts like me, and one hoity-toity regal guy - between two and six other dogs the entire day. Exhausting!

Then, after dark, our follies decided to do "fireworks"... go figure! They complain about the forests being burned down, and the noise of the city, and then they shoot off loud, dangerous fire! All of us freaked out. Can you blame us!?!
I hid under the shed porch until the danger passed, and when I emerged and did a headcount, Scout Delilah was missing. We spent hours searching for her.
I followed my folly up Sharps Canyon, over bridges, under fences, through abandoned out buildings - to hell and back - searching for Delilah. As it turns out, she had decided to "run for the hills" of Moab to escape the battle. Frankly, I would have left Delilah to fend for herself, but her folly Eileen must really love her because she rallied the troops and wouldn't quit until she was found.

Anyway, I must admit that the little one Pepper was quite amusing. She's a bit like the Energizer Bunny because she keeps going and going and going, but she's nothing like the Weeble that wobbles and doesn't fall down because she did collapse finally!
She wore me ragged too. The the difference between she and I is that she kept getting second, third, tenth and eighteenth winds!!! Just when I thought she was tired out and I could finally take a rest, she began some other shenanigans. How does she do it!?!?
I did have a nice rest on my way to Denver today though. I have to have my teeth cleaned tomorrow... who ever heard of such a thing!?!
